We the Indian New Zealanders have to be cognizant of the fact that NZ is not out of economic troubles as yet and there will be a lot of blame game resorted to by the competing political parties as part of their '26 election canvassing. Immigrants taking jobs will be used as a camouflage for closing busineses. Political parties may even directly name Indians, foolishly, for being responsible for whatever negative. Our normal birth rate could also be used to hide the wider family disintegration - a disease that is root cause of many problems. But it helps them to polarize the vote. NZ First is practicing it and their fortune forecast is showing 'it works'. Our reaction to all this does not have to be just vocal. A planned response action at the appropriate time is a must and we have to undertake a democratic exercise to try for a responsible voting buildup.NZICA as a non political, body of advocacy and service will facilitate the nationwide discussions but the decision has to be pronounced and executed by the 'people'It is a testing time for our wisdom - yet again. ...
